the sting of 20 pesos

THE STING OF 20 PESOS

sometime,a bitter lullaby
were heard by many
another disgusting sad song
sang by the tender ladies

too young to save their virginity
or simply to have a choice
for a beautifully woven destiny

there are/were men who paid
to touch the private parts
of their delicate bodies
for twenty pesos

to buy a sachet of shampoo,
a piece of bread...
their daily needs

why?
because...

their mothers were busy drinking...
their fathers were busy gambling...

Them little ladies
when in the future
will reach their full fruition

will yell and scream for all to hear
their terrible depression
with wasted pearls fall from ungrateful eyes

and there will be insufficient vision
within their marrow
that keeps this horror from taking over

forever...
They will never be a woman
as a whole.

A Love Note to Stewart 6

Sweetheart....

as long as my warm beating heart sings songs only us knows.I wont as for more. The questions that used to bother me,used to blur my views of the future are now being answered. You are now with me.And in your smiles,in your gentle voice,in you...with you...i found the answers. You are the missing part that completes my today and my future.God knows the beauty that lies beyond the glowing heaven. But when I see you smile, because of my simple silly ways,I think I have glimpsed the beauty of paradise. There are moments that i'm running out of words to express how much i love you.Moments like now. Here i am holding my pen and paper for hours and still i cant start to write a poem.Sometimes,I wonder if i have lost my poetic talent.Because i cant scribble the right lines to describe the splendid moments we shared. Blissful...Sacred...or Heavenly are NOT enough my love because you have graced me a feeling beyond words. My shining star in the galaxy, that's what you are to me Sweetheart, bearer of my universe. And yet again i failed to puzzle perfectly the words that i wanted to say.But you know I LOVE YOU always in ALL WAYS.

a love note to Stewart 5

Within the wrought iron gates
Lies the weeping big blue marble
Where the wind blows exhaustingly
As if its eyes have seen no more
Single astounding thing left
On this submerging Earth.

Most people forget the geenfields
The beauty that it brings
The breathtaking moment when the birds
Innocently step on the thin branches of the trees,
The morning dews that slowly drop from the leaves
And how the flowers below happily cathes them.

The beautiful pond where fishes and frogs
Create some sad and Aha! moments
Now covered with plastics,rubbers...rubbish.
And the virgin rivers where carabaos and cows
Used to swim after a hard work all day
Now contaminated with crude oils and waste from piggeries.

Buildings replaced the verdant forests
And still people dig deep
Very deep holes around the woeful earth
And laid their brothers and sisters on it
For the sake of power...of money...
Profit.

With all this horrible groans and moans i've heard
From the weeping big blue marble
And the rushing of blood from her warm beating heart
You are the most beautiful thing
You are the reason why
I still want to live
On this ebbing world,my Stewart.
